Information for Presenters

  • Invited talks are 45 minutes in length plus 5 minutes for discussion.
  • Contributed talks are 15 minutes in length plus 5 minutes for discussion.
We will have a standard computer projection system.

Poster session

There will be a poster session at the conference. Abstract for poster presentations should be submitted in the same way as for oral presentations.

Acceptance notification:  15th June 2012
Early registration/payment deadline:  30th June 2012
Late registration/payment deadline:  15th August 2012
Arrival of the participants:  13th September 2012
Opening of the Scientific Program:  14th September 2012, 9 a.m.
Conference ends:  18th September 2012 after lunch

Registration fee

The cost of participation is 1600 PLN (early registration, before 30th June) and 1800 PLN after this date. The early registration deadline does not apply to invited speakers. Accompanying person fee is 1300 PLN (early registration) and 1400 PLN (late registration). It covers all local expenses (accomodation, meals, social events, etc.).

Hotel Jaskolka The conference will be held at the conference center of the Hotel "Jaskolka" in Ustron. Participants will be accomodated in the same hotel.

Ustron is a picturesque holiday and health resort situated about 80 km south of Katowice at 400 m above sea-level in the valley of the river Wisla (Vistula), and surrounded by forest-covered mountains of Beskid.

  • Our University coach will take the participants from the Institute of Physics in Katowice, Uniwersytecka 4 to Ustron on 13th September at 5 p.m.
  • The return coach to Katowice will leave Ustron on 18th September after lunch.
